“OREGON ENCHANTMENT”
While visiting our youngest daughter in Portland, Oregon I had an opportunity to
explore the area around her home near Germantown Road. Here I discovered
pockets of state forestland with meandering hiking trails and breathtaking views.
I awoke around 6 AM one Sunday and noticed the mist hovering over the hillside.
I quickly grabbed my camera and took off in our daughter’s car. Driving up the road I
was drenched in streaming sunlight.
This particular shot is a scene I nearly missed. Putting the car in reverse, I parked
and quickly jumped out just in time to catch the sun shining on a clear path through
the heavy trees thick with brilliant autumn leaves. I was enchanted. Hope you are as
