| OLD TIMER STORY This is a 1947 International harvester pick up that is abandoned on a secondary lot out at Loon Lake, WA. Louisa Danforth and I had our cameras and were out shooting the local lake “gems”. I was attracted to this because of all of the amazing and unexpected colors on the old rusted out truck. There are actually pinks, purples and maroon colors, look closely and you will see them too! This was a special painting for me as I gave it to my father, Joe, for his eightieth birthday party celebration. He worked for International Harvester for over 27 years and recognized the model. Growing up on a farm in Rice, WA (close to Kettle Falls/Colville) he spent many years in the cab of several pick up trucks. This one appears to have been converted to do some type of hauling, according to my dad. |
